  • Technology-wise, the Acura MDX also comes with more basic features like standard premium radio. Both models are available with an eight-inch touchscreen display but only the Acura offers it standard on every model.
  • The Acura MDX includes Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™ integration as standard throughout its lineup. These same features are available with the Honda Pilot but you need to move up a couple of trim levels and spend more money to have them equipped.
  • Safety

    • Safety-wise, the Acura MDX comes with more airbags than the Honda Pilot.
    • When it comes to crash test ratings, the Acura MDX earned a five-star overall frontal crash rating while the Honda Pilot only earned four stars.
    • Communication-wise, the Acura MDX is available with AcuraLink® service. These services send out a notification out if an airbag is deployed, if the SUV has been stolen and even allows you to remotely lock or unlock your vehicle. The Honda Pilot offers a similar service but only on the highest trim levels.
    • Both vehicles also come standard with family-focused safety features like child door locks and an engine immobilizer.
