2017 MDX Sport Hybrid: The Best of Both Worlds

Last year, Acura unveiled its NSX supercar, which uses an electric motor to buttress the power of its gasoline engine. Now, Acura has brought this technology into the SUV world with the 2017 MDX Sport Hybrid.

The full-size, three-row SUV pairs its 3.0 liter iVTEC V6 to three electric motors and all-wheel drive. Altogether, it's a powerful combination. The electric motors deliver near instantaneous high-torque performance while improving efficiency and emissions. All-wheel drive delivers grip to all four tires for sure-footed handling. The iVTEC V6 puts 257 horsepower to the wheels.

The MDX Sport Hybrid features four driving modes: Comfort, Normal, Sport, and Sport+. Each adjusts power and handling for a unique feel and performance profile.

Handling gets a boost as well with electric torque vectoring, active dampers, and Integrated Dynamics System.

Hooman Acura of Santa Monica can schedule your test drive in the new 2017 MDX.
